It has been revealed that UFC Heavyweight champion Jon Jones (28-1) has been playing hard to get on purpose with current interim HW champion Tom Aspinall (15-3) in order to secure a fight on Valentines Day. Sources say that it has been Jon Jones’s dream to fight on St. Cupid’s Day since he was a child. When asked about his tactics in negotiations with UFC president Dana White, he said, “I just thought it was be a good theme leading up to Valentines day. You know ‘play hard to get,’ and then on February 14th, fight. It’s kind of romantic if you think about it.”

Since Jon put out the statement he hasn’t spoken to the media. All his social accounts have been deleted. Broken heart maybe? We will never know.
