Niko Price Gets the Farewell He Was Owed: A First-Round Finish in His 22nd UFC Fight

Niko Price stopped Leon Shahbazyan with punches at 1:58 of the first round, in a bout offered to him as a proper send-off after he walked away following his March loss to Michael Chiesa in Seattle. It was his 22nd UFC appearance since debuting at UFC 207 in December 2016, a run that included knockouts of Alan Jouban, Randy Brown, Tim Means and James Vick. He finishes the night at 17-11 with two no contests, and he celebrated in the cage with his wife and daughter. He did not close the door entirely: “You might see me again, you never know.”
